BOA VISTA is home to 19-year-old Leila. A place of poverty, but also of beauty and a sense of security. But now the favela is to be demolished to make way for a major construction project by the wealthy upper class. As if Leila didn't already have enough to worry about with her father suffering from a heart condition, now her livelihood is under threat. In this hopelessness, Leila discovers the power of her voice. Her song resounds across the roofs of the favela and calls the residents to resist.
